Step 1: Capture. Jumpstart your DVD authoring with the Capture
panel. Here you can capture video
and audio from the video device. Video, which is being captured,
can be previewed in the preview
window. The compression method of the output file can be chosen on
the Setup page.

Select the video device. If you are using a DV video camera, the
sound will be recorded from it directly. If the video device does
not support sound (e.g., web camera) you can manually select the
device to record the sound from. You can also play or rewind the
tape with the control buttons.
Press the start button to begin recording the piece, then press
Stop. Repeat recording the pieces as many times as needed and then
click Next
